Welcome Intern Pastor Eric Schwirian!
Eric and his family joined the St. Peter Lutheran Church community on Sunday, August 19th. He and his wife Marie have three children. Margaret “Maggie” who is five years old, Abigail who is three years old, and Luke who is three months old. Their family enjoys time together taking local day trips, playing outside at the park, and swimming.
Before Eric’s entry into the ministry, he was an active duty Army Officer for over eight years. He felt called to be both a Lutheran Pastor and an Army Reserve Chaplain. He currently serves in the Army Reserve one Friday-Saturday a month as a Chaplain Candidate. His responsibilities include providing religious support to Soldiers through worship services, pastoral counseling, and being a moral and ethical advisor to the commander.
They are all very excited to have moved from Pennsylvania where he attended United Lutheran Seminary to join our church family. Eric is thrilled to be our Intern Pastor! He is looking forward to serving our congregation and supporting our mission outreach to the community through Saint Peter’s regular Food Bank and Community Breakfast events.
